Top Design Firms By Region: The Midwest Best

Data gathered from Print’s regional design annual 2008 to find the best U.S. firms to work in by region, continuing with the Midwest.

And so continues the exhibition of the winning design firms from around the country. For each region, the information presented will help you pick out the best of the best from your state and area.

The Regional Design annual, produced by Print magazine, is massive collection of beautiful work from around the country. Breaking the U.S. down into 6 subsections, The Far West, South West, Midwest, South, East, and New York City, the magazine selects the work of the best design firms in each region. Print has been accepting entries for the 2009 Regional Design Annual for the past few weeks.

The information presented comes from the 2008 Regional Design Annual and ranks firms by the number of winning designs in the magazine and overall presence in their region. You can judge the firms on the quality of their work by reviewing the individual sites of each. Keep an eye out for the rest of the regions of the U.S. to be covered to better inform your choice of the top design firm and who you should set your sites on.

The Midwest is up next. It’s where the design firms are staying optimistic about the state of the economy. They, like those firms in the Far West, find that smaller and more agile firms are the ones that succeed. Firms here are very independent and are working hard with what they are given to thrive in the design world.
