61 Hidden Cove is the address of this property that is currently on the market and it’s owners, who happen to be my parents, wanted a site that would help them to sell it without using a Realtor. The goals of the site were to tell any potential buyer more about the house then they would get on a realty listing service and showcase this information on a nice looking site.

The design reflects the location of the house which is a very important selling point for the property. The content of the site is an extended and well written version of what you might find on a realty listing site. Here also we’ve added pictures of the inside of the house as well as floor plans and a map of the area. Important to the site are the “contact” and “share this” sections of the sidebar. They allow for users to easily send the site to other interested parties or to get in contact directly with the seller.

I kept the site to a one page format because I thought it should be exceedingly simple for a user to get all the information they need about the property. The navigation uses anchors to get around the page and each section has a “back to top” function. Important information is featured such as the address, the price, contact information, and the MLS number.

The site is coded in a way that is extremely search engine friendly. Everything is semantically coded with as many allowances for SEO as possible. Equipped with google analytics, the site has been bringing in good traffic through search engines.

The design is simple but effective, in my opinion, of giving a good impression of the location of the house as well as the quality of life that comes along with it. Visit the site…
